Eastwood Village Primary School encourages all children to have excellent attendance

Eastwood Village Primary School is committed to raising the achievement of all our students. Regular school attendance brings enormous benefits to individual pupils, their families and the community as a whole. If students don’t attend regularly, attendance and levels of attainment will suffer and opportunities will be missed.

Persistent absence and lateness will affect a child’s achievement and progress in school. Research shows that there is a direct link between a child’s level of school attendance and their level of school attainment.

Parents have a legal responsibility to make sure their children attend school every day and on time.

If children’s attendance falls below 96% they are identified as a concern if absences are unauthorised.
