Mental Health Ambassadors

Meet The Team

   Meeting Robert Taylor, the

       Mayor of Rotherham

We act as a mentor, providing important health information and advice, and help to affect real and lasting change in our school. We, as Mental Health Ambassadors, are continually developing our knowledge and understanding of key physical, social and mental health issues affecting us all today. By working with Mr Ward, our Personal Development Leader, we continually develop these skills in order to be a responsible and effective mentor to others.

What are the aims of our Mental Health Ambassadors at Eastwood Village Primary School?

  • To make our school a happy and safe place to be.
  • To welcome new children and staff to the school.
  • To offer a ‘listening ear’ to those in need of support.
  • To be kind, caring and helpful towards others.

Here’s what our Ambassadors had to say:

“I wanted to be Mental Health Ambassador because I am kind and caring and I like to help others. I try to make sure everyone in school is happy and they know who they can speak to if they are upset.”

“I wanted to be an ambassador because I like to help people. It makes me feel better helping others.”
